Following the success of the Edinburgh Preview shows that I booked at the Old Joint Stock Theatre back in July, we have some monthly shows coming up at the same venue – a beautiful little theatre in Birmingham City Centre.

If you fancy some great stand up comedy in the run up to Xmas, then Wednesday 19th should be something rather special.

Opening the show is Tom Binns who may be known to some in the area from his recent work as a DJ on both BRWM and Kerrang. Tom has been a comic, DJ and actor for some years, but its since performing in character as Hospital Radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury that he has really been taking off. “Disease hour” was nominated for the main award at the Edinburgh Festival last year (following its preview at the Old Joint Stock – we spot em!) and has been tipped by local comic and promoter James Cook as one of the funniest things he has ever seen:

As he ably proved in the recent Project X Presents event, Reg Hunter is able to deliver material that is powerfully emotional and insightful. Fortunately, as befits a Xmas knees up, he is also warm, engaging and hilariously funny.

Unftornately there’s not a lot of Reggie’s current stand up on the net in video – tho his recent appearance on Have I Got News for You is here – but heres a clip from back in 2001 proving that event very early in his career, he had a special talent:

So do please go ahead and book your ticket online or call Birmingham Box Office on 0121 303 23 23, or reserve tickets at the OJST direct on 0121 200 0946. Go on, have a laugh!
